34 weeks

How far along? 34 weeks
Total weight gain: 30lbs =O
Maternity clothes? Mostly wearing my maternity leggings from theGap and a few maternity tops/sweaters. Otherwise I am still wearing my regular jeans unbuttoned and some of by bigger regular tops.
Stretch marks? Nope. Thank Jesus.
Sleep: Waking up at least once or twice a night to go pee. Otherwise pretty good.
Best moment this week: Having our maternity pictures done was a blast! Totally memorable <3
Movement: Yes. A ridiculous amount. Freaks Aaron out but I can't get enough of it =)
Food cravings: I was THIS close to taking a sip of Aaron's ice cold beer at dinner tonight. THIS close.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks like crazy, especially when I'm at work.
Belly Button in or out? flat as a pancake.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy Happy Happy!
Weekly Wisdom: Drink lots and lots of water! Reduces that stupid ankle swelling and clears up your skin!

Maternity Photos and Baby Shower Ideas

Shoot me if at any point during the next seven weeks you ever hear me complain that I am bored. On our itinerary this week is our maternity shoot which I really wasn't too excited about until just recently, and in just under two weeks is my baby shower! February obviously holds Valentine's day and then our four-year wedding anniversary is on the 20th (aka one full month of romance overload), and then OF COURSE baby boy's due date is right after that in March! I have to stop myself from getting sucked into Pinterest for too long looking at cute Valentine's Day ideas to surprise Aaron with, and remind myself that I have our photo shoot and my baby shower to get through first! The maternity shoot I was kind of on the fence about for a while,, it is SUPER easy for the pictures to come out cheesy and annoying and Aaron isn't exactly the most cooperative when it comes to cheesy and annoying things. But when I promised him that my belly will remain covered by clothing the entire time and he does NOT have to kneel down and kiss it, he agreed to attend. Some of my Pinterest obsessions inspirations =)

Aaron can't really complain too much about any of these poses right? (Minus the bare belly at the bottom).

My baby shower is a whole different ball game, meaning I have slightly less control over it than my photo shoot. It is being thrown by my mom with some help from Aaron's mom and my friend Alyson, along with some demands suggestions from me =) Did I mention how much I love Pinterest? I am in love with the idea of blue mason jars, chocolate dipped anything, sparkly garland and a naked-cake.

Now, the most important thing for me to remember is that it is OKAY if my photo shoot and baby shower do not end up looking exactly like my Pinterest boards. Pinterest is not real-life and I am constantly reminding myself of that. After all, my husband is way better looking than the guys in those pictures ;-)

LITTLE BOYER ON THE WAY!

So I know this is about 32 weeks late,, but I figured since the nursery's not completely finished yet and as long as I can still kinda fit into my skinny jeans (with the help of the hair-tie trick of course), I still have time to start my documentation of this amazing, momentous, terrifying, hormonal time in our lives =)

I found out I was pregnant on July 1st 2013, and was able to keep it a secret from my husband for a whopping 36 hours. His birthday is the 7th, and my plan was to share the news with him in some amazing, jaw-dropping, tear-jerking way in front of his entire family written in the sky or something. But since I'm terrible at keeping secrets and was literally about to internally combust from the excitement, I ended up throwing a pregnancy test in a gift-bag and letting him open it when he got home from work the next night. Far from poetic, I know, but I have a bad habit of fantasizing things up in my head to unrealistic proportions and then crying when things never turn out EXACTLY the way I planned.....

So needless to say the last 7 months have been pretty busy and crazy,, my husband handling most of the busy and myself accounting for the crazy. We found out we are expecting a little boy in March and we could NOT be any more excited. We bought and moved into a new house that was closer to our families and more practical for bringing a new baby home to (single-story) and have just about got it set up the way we want. The nursery is coming together nicely and I will definitely be posting pics shortly, once I have a few more details put into place and my OCD senses are satisfied. So far my pregnancy has been pretty awesome:: no morning-sickness, no complications (knock-on-wood), and no stretch-marks (double knock-on-wood). I've been taking chalk-board pics bi-weekly to track my belly growth and have surprisingly been very compliant with keeping up with it. Here's a quick recap of the last 7 months of our lives!

And of course, this weeks chalkboard pic, 32 weeks =)

So I don't really expect for many people to read this blog, mostly family members and a few close friends that I nag incessantly until they agree to go check it out. But its mostly for me and my own piece of mind so I know that I did SOMETHING to document my pregnancy and didn't just coast through it, because I would hate to wake up one day and not remember how crazy wonderful our lives are right now, and regret not writing down all the amazing details of these experiences. My husband will totally thank me for this one day =)
